On Order: Breads of Affliction, Discourses of Liberation

“On Order” drew its structure from the passover seder meal. We invited a varied group of artists, activists and intellectuals to create thematic presentations in lieu of traditional elements of the haggadah. Discussion topics included: viniculture, hygiene, seasonality, cynicism, slavery, shared history, kinship, plagues, sufficiency, hope, gratitude, presence/absence, renewal. On-site participants at our home included Guillermina De Ferrari, Sara Guyer, Megan Katz, Marina Kelly, Tom Loeser, Leslee Nelson, Mario Ortiz Robles, Bird Ross, Christian Sandvig, Henry Sapoznik, Jane Simon, Scott Straus, Lars Waldorf and Craig Werner; Joseph Adandé joined us via Skype from Benin.
