Foodways is a multi-year, multi-site social art project by Spatula&Barcode about how the movement of food shapes and is shaped by our ways of living. Foodways began with a one-month pilot project in Darmstadt GERMANY, next moved to Melbourne AUSTRALIA for a six month residency, and now continues with a nine-month series of projects in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. While deeply informed by the environmental and political dimensions of food movement, Foodways starts by celebrating all of the ways in which we use food to make culture and use culture to make food.
